6 Brothers and Sisters Come Together for their Bluegrass Album Salzer Creek

Salzer Creek on stage

What could be more fun that 6 brothers and sisters hitting the studio to record 16 new songs? I can’t think of anything off the top of my head.  Impressively, they recorded the all 16 songs in a single session.  This project did not disappoint. Salzer Creek is a homeschooled, christian family band that really gels together in their performance of Bluegrass, Folk and Gospel classics. In order to capture the essence of this band, the session was recorded performing all the parts live here at the studio as if they were playing them on the stage. Instrumentation included, stand up bass, acoustic guitar, mandolin, fiddle and singing by all the kids.  Each song was played a couple of times and afterward the family (Mom, Dad and the Kids) would discuss their favorite take. We would then have the one that would appear on the album.

Have a listen to the track below, check out their FaceBook Page and plan to go see them play live at a venue near you at one of their upcoming concerts. – LBS
